Yeppers, the other top middle tooth has poked through the gums!
And in food updates, Talia tried sweet potatoes for the first time this week, so she's had avocados, sweet potatoes and banana so far.

FIRST TOOTH!
A tooth? Really??? |
She was SOOOO cranky today so I actually gave her a bit of frozen banana in this child-proof teether-feeder to chew on for a good hour.
(I linked a similar one - but the one I bought was from Shopper's Drug Mart).
There wasn't much left of the bit of banana by the end of it and she sure seemed calmer while she was sucking and chewing on it but I don't *think* I count this as her first time getting solids, do I?
*Attempting Jedi mind tricks* - "Mom, pay no attention to your finger. No one is chewing on it..." |

Little Man lost tooth #2
It was a DS wkend for my Little Man and one of his bottom teeth had been quite loose.
On Saturday (Feb 6, 2010), he finally yanked the tooth out of his mouth while he was at his father's place.
The new tooth is quite visible and came in sort of behind the old one (the same way it worked with the first one he lost in November).
And he has another one that is marginally loose.
He's very excited :>

Had my 2nd actual dream about the baby
So last night I dreamt that I had been kidnapped and while I was being held prisoner in this dusty house, I suddenly just had the baby in my arms.
The baby was large, and healthy and smiling. Already possessing two teeth (bottom front) and in this dream, the baby was a boy.
Old wives tales say that when you dream about the gender of your baby-to-be that said baby will be the opposite gender.
However; my previous baby dream (from quite awhile ago - Nov. I think) was about me having an ultrasound and the tech telling us it was a boy, but by the end of that dream -- I was having the baby and was told that baby was actually a girl.
*shrug*

After much trial and trouble
Little Man lost his FIRST tooth!
We tried to entice it out using song on the evening of the 9th...
Little Man's tooth, Little Man's tooth -- you know you really suck. Little Man's tooth, Little Man's tooth -- why are you still stuck? Little Man's tooth, Little Man's tooth -- it's time for you to flee. Little Man's tooth, Little Man's tooth - you're really irking me.
But he managed to wiggle and wriggle it out the morning of the 10th.

(you can see the new one has come in behind where the baby tooth was)

Proud Mommy alert
@ 2003-04-03 07:48:00
Time for an update
Proud Mommy alert
March 21st - age: 35 wks, 6 days
event: repeatedly got into a sitting position from laying down on the floor, without any assistance from ppl or objects. I'd never caught him doing this before although he was sitting up on the 20th and neither Mom H. or I had seen him do it and hadn't placed him in that position (well, Mom couldn't remember if she'd sat him up or not)
STILL March 21st - event: once doing the sitting up thing repeatedly during the morning, he began grabbing Mom's (Yvette's) coffee table and pulling himself up, but not to a complete stand... only pulling himself high enough to then proceed to bite and attempt to chew on the edge of said table.
March 22nd - age: 36 wks
event: one of this top teeth was visible through his gums (this is tooth #3 for Little Man)
march 24th - age: 36 wks, 2 days
event: He pulled self to a stand, multiple times, from a sitting position at Mom H's using her coffee table
march 25th - age: 36 wks, 3 days
event: another tooth up top became visible through his gums (tooth #4)
event #2: He began to "travel" by holding on to the table and then walking around it
I think this is pretty good for a wee man who will be 9 months old on April 13th. (which is odd when you consider that 36 wks makes 9 months)
